Accessibility Statement

Compliance Status

We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to everyone. We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of ability.

We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines help ensure that the website is accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. This includes accessibility for individuals with blindness, motor impairments, visual impairments, cognitive disabilities, and more.

This website utilizes various technologies to make it accessible at all times. We use an accessibility interface that allows users with specific disabilities to adjust the UI (user interface) to their needs.

An AI-based application runs in the background to optimize accessibility. This application adapts the website’s functionality for screen readers and keyboard navigation, ensuring accessibility for blind users and individuals with motor impairments.

Screen Reader and Keyboard Navigation

Our website implements ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) along with behavioral adjustments to ensure that blind users can use screen readers to navigate and enjoy the website’s functionality.

1. Screen Reader Optimization:

We run a process that scans the website to ensure ongoing compliance, even during updates. Screen readers receive meaningful data via ARIA attributes, such as accurate form labels, descriptions for actionable icons, and validation guidance for form inputs.

The background process also scans images and provides image-object-recognition-based descriptions using ALT (alternative text) tags. Text within images is extracted using OCR (optical character recognition). Users can activate screen-reader adjustments at any time by pressing Alt+1. Users will also receive automatic announcements upon entering the website to turn screen-reader mode on.

These adjustments are compatible with popular screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.

2. Keyboard Navigation Optimization:

We adjust the website’s HTML and implement JavaScript behaviors to make the website operable via keyboard navigation. This includes using Tab and Shift+Tab to navigate, arrow keys for dropdowns, Esc to close menus, Enter to trigger buttons, and Spacebar or Enter to select form inputs.

Keyboard users can also access content-skip menus by pressing Alt+2 or navigating to the first element on the site. Focus is automatically moved to triggered popups to prevent users from navigating outside them.

Shortcuts such as “M” for menus, “H” for headings, “F” for forms, “B” for buttons, and “G” for graphics allow users to jump to specific elements.
